Sequoia's base is built like a tree trunk: solid wood, curved, reading as one piece. The marble top sits thin on top of that body.
The full-height marble panel behind and the wood base balance one another; the pendant cluster falls at the centre of the top. The tone of the wood and the veining of the marble are chosen together.
