How to prepare for a showroom visit
Come to the showroom with three things: the room’s measurements, photographs of the room, and a budget range. With all three in hand you leave with a written quote; without them, a second appointment is needed.

A showroom visit is less about making choices than about firming up decisions. A veneer you saw on screen looks different in the hand, and a fabric’s texture does not come across in a photograph. Three things are all it takes to make the visit productive.
Three things to bring
The room’s measurements: the width of every wall, the ceiling height, and where the doors and windows are. A simple plan-view sketch is the most practical way to record it. With those measurements, an initial price can be worked out by the end of the visit.
Photographs of the room: all four walls, a general shot from the doorway, and close-ups of any projections such as columns, chimneys or radiators. A photograph conveys what a measurement cannot.
A budget range. No exact figure is needed; knowing the range we are working in directly shapes which sets and materials you get shown. Without that conversation, half of what we show you is wasted.
What happens during the visit
First we talk through the room plan: where the bed goes, which wall takes the wardrobe, where the walkways end up. That conversation takes 20–30 minutes and frames everything that follows.
Then we move to the veneer and fabric samples. All of them are held at the showroom, and veneer samples are assessed under both overhead and window light. If you want to take fabric samples home, we can let you — looking at them in the room’s own light is always the soundest test.
After that come the hardware decisions: door type, drawer count, internal layout, lighting. Finally the delivery schedule is settled.
What you leave with
An initial costing and an estimated schedule. The firm price is given in writing once the measurements are taken on site — there is no sale or payment on this site, and everything is made to measure.
If you like, you can also take the veneer and fabric samples you have chosen away with you.
Questions worth asking
How many millimetres is the carcass panel, and the back panel? Which brand are the hinges and runners? How thick is the edge banding? Those three questions separate two quotes that look identical.
What changes the lead time? Is the fabric in stock? Who does the assembly, and is there a charge? How many years is the warranty and what does it cover?
We share the answers to these in writing at the showroom too; you can ask for a printed copy of the 24-point checklist.
